Speech and Drama Awards

All Classes have a Winner’s Certificate and Trophy or MSF Badge.

 

 

The Gilbert Cup

 

Is awarded to the boy gaining the highest mark in the Speech and Drama Classes.

 

 

The Muriel Catling Memorial Trophy

 

Is awarded to the girl gaining the highest mark in the Speech and Drama Classes.

 

 

The Celia Powell Memorial Trophy

 

Awarded for the highest mark gained in a Shakespeare Class

 

 

The Evelyn Sandford Repertoire Trophy

 

(10 and under 19) Is awarded to the competitor who attains the highest combined mark by performing in the following four classes: Verse speaking; Memorised Prose; Solo Mime;. Solo Acting.

 

 

The Robert Sparkes Trophy

 

Is awarded with £100 to the winning School, Organisation or Group in the Youth Debating Competition.

 

 

The Repertoire Class Trophy

 

Each class will be awarded with £50

 

Classical Repertoire Trophy

 

Awarded to the competitor who attains the highest combined mark by performing in the following three classes: Classical Drama; Sonnet; Dickens Prose

 

The Miss Naysmyth Memorial Award

 

Awarded to the most outstanding Senior performance

 

 

Winners of the trophies and other performers from the competitions maybe invited to take part in the final concert
