Mime, more than any other discipline, teaches us about characterization. Without words a performer has to develop the internal emotion in order to express the outward physical realization of the character. It helps strengthen and control focus, both physical and emotional, and underpins the understanding of basic stagecraft. The more we engage physically the more other senses become heightened it follows then that good mime will always enhance the quality of any actor’s performance.
Classes
We offer classes from 10 years to 18 years in Solo, Duo and Group Mime. A group mime should consist of no fewer than 3 nor more than 7 performers.
For each age group there are set titles which we hope will stimulate an imaginative interpretation.
